This website provides online permit application services for DHBC's Building Code Enforcement, HVAC, Electrical, Manufactured Housing, Plumbing and Fire Prevention Divisions.
Permitting Services for all other DHBC Divisions can be found on the DHBC eServices page.
Electrical permits for private property shall be obtained through the local authority having jurisdiction and NOT this site. Contact your County Judge Executive’s office for that information.
The Kentucky Revised Statutes (KRS 198B) created a uniform, statewide building code within the Commonwealth and assigned specific enforcement responsibilities to the Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction (DHBC) and to each local government. Prior to submitting an application to Kentucky DHBC you must determine whether your project is subject to local, expanded or state jurisdiction.
